EBRD-AIIB Business Development

The Business Development FDI Group (‘BDU Group’) is a service department within Banking providing direct business development support to sector and country teams.

BDU Beijing team plays an important role in supporting the Bank’s mandate to mobilise direct investments into the EBRD region by identifying new Chinese investors for our region. BDU Beijing team also helps to promote the Bank’s capabilities in potential FDI countries through organising and speaking at various conferences.

Tasks

Conduct FDI markets research. Update trend of industry and identify potential FDI target companies. Reach out and organise meetings, including joint calls with sector teams.

On-going monitoring of business leads, including reviewing on a daily basis FDI announcements and arrange follow-up.

Organise business development visits for senior management to FDI countries which include research and identification of target companies, setting up meetings with senior executives, preparing briefing notes and coordinating necessary follow-up action to ensure effective client relationship management.

Speak, co-ordinate and/or organise selected business development events in FDI countries (e.g. business development conferences, seminars, roundtables).

To assist Banking teams with client marketing material such as PowerPoint presentations, case studies and pitch books.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree at minimum. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the areas of overseas project finance.

· Professional qualification such as CFA is a plus.

· Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and spread sheet.

· Good analytical skills. Good understanding of Chinese outbound investment. Overseas project transaction experience is a plus.

· Ability to work effectively as a team member and to deadlines and under time pressure.

· Good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese.

· Good outreach skills to Chinese outbound investment players.

Experience & Knowledge:

· Exposure to overseas project finance experience is desirable.
